Pay Rate: $2,457 – $2,547/week
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Histotechnologist to process and prepare tissue specimens and microscopic sections for diagnostic evaluation by the Pathologist.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology, Biology, or Chemistry, or HTL certification from a recognized agency.
Histotechnician AAS.
Minimum 2 years of histology experience.
Active New York State license required.
Responsibilities
Process, embed, cut, and stain surgical and autopsy tissue for Pathologist examination.
Prepare and stain cytopathology specimens and microscopic sections for diagnostic evaluation.
Properly handle and manage patient tissue specimens.
Perform specialized and selective histology techniques as required.
Maintain accurate documentation, supplies, and equipment.
Participate in the Quality Assurance program.
Follow laboratory policies, procedures, and safety standards.
