Pay Rate: $1,000 – $1,250/week
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Sterile Processing Technician (SPT) to perform sterile processing, instrument reprocessing, sterilization, and surgical tray preparation in a high-volume hospital environment.
Required Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of Sterile Processing Technician experience.
Current CBSPD or HSPA national certification required.
Strong knowledge of sterile processing, infection prevention, and surgical instrument handling.
Experience with decontamination, sterilization, assembly/wrapping, scope reprocessing, and high-level disinfection.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.
Ability to work evening or night shifts and weekends as required.
First-time travelers are not accepted.
Responsibilities
Perform decontamination, cleaning, inspection, assembly, wrapping, sterilization, and distribution of surgical instruments and equipment.
Reprocess surgical instruments, trays, scopes, and probes according to established protocols.
Perform high-level disinfection and flexible endoscope reprocessing.
Inspect instruments for cleanliness, functionality, and damage before assembly.
Assemble and wrap instrument trays for surgical procedures.
Process and document sterilization cycles and maintain equipment traceability.
Prioritize instrument requests based on operating-room needs.
Follow infection prevention, safety, quality-control, and sterile processing standards.
Communicate with OR staff regarding instrument availability and processing needs.
