Shift & Schedule: Night Shift | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | 36 Hours/Week
Pay Rate: $44 - $46/hr
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist to support operating room procedures, maintain sterile technique, and assist with complex surgical specialties in a Level I Trauma Center.
Required Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist or appropriate training program.
Level I Trauma Center experience required.
Experience with Neurosurgery, Vascular Surgery, Orthopedic Trauma, Spine Surgery, and Endovascular Surgery.
Professional certification through the Association of Surgical Technologists (AST) preferred.
Ability to read, write, and speak English.
Responsibilities
Prepare and organize surgical instruments and operating room setups according to surgeon preferences and established policies.
Maintain accurate counts of sponges, needles, instruments, and medications during procedures.
Handle and label surgical specimens according to operating room policies.
Perform decontamination, disinfection, sterilization, and sanitation of instruments and equipment.
Safely remove used equipment and dispose of contaminated needles and syringes.
Participate in team conferences and assist with patient care planning and evaluation.
Maintain scrub and circulating skills across specialty areas.
Maintain a safe and sterile operating room environment while supporting patient care needs.
