Required Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Florida or valid Multi-State Compact license
Bachelor’s Degree required
Master’s Degree must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
Minimum 5 years of Behavioral Health Director experience required (or a seasoned Behavioral Health Manager with 5+ years of leadership in a current acute care setting will be considered)
Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required
Mandatory background fingerprint clearance required prior to start
Proven executive leadership in fiscal management, regulatory compliance, quality metrics, and multidisciplinary psychiatric care
Responsibilities
Direct daily clinical and administrative operations across the behavioral health service line to achieve quality improvement, productivity, and patient satisfaction goals
Provide strategic leadership and direct supervision for nursing and clinical staff, maintaining high standards of patient care and accountability
Ensure strict adherence to corporate, hospital, and patient safety policies as well as healthcare regulatory standards
Serve as a primary liaison connecting patients, family representatives, medical staff, physicians, and administrative leadership
Manage operational budgets, resource allocation, and nurse staffing models to optimize clinical productivity and control departmental costs
Develop, monitor, and execute continuous quality improvement (CQI) and clinical outcome initiatives across all behavioral health units
