Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery

Location: Fort Worth, TX 76104
Job Type: Contract
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Night | 7:00 PM–7:00 AM
Schedule: 48 or 38 Hours/Week
Local Candidates: Required
Traveler Candidates: Required

Pay Rate:
Local: $55–$60/hr, based on experience
Traveler: $55–$60/hr, based on experience

Required Qualifications:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — Required
• Recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience — Required
• BLS certification — Required
• ACLS certification — Required
• NRP certification — Required
• Fetal Monitoring certification — Required
• RNC certification — Preferred
• Experience caring for laboring patients, newborns, and premature infants
• Experience with continuous fetal monitoring
• Ability to work in a high-acuity hospital environment
• Must be available for night shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Candidate must reside within 100 miles of the facility
• Active Driver’s License must be included in the submission packet

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to Labor & Delivery patients
• Care for patients throughout the antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum periods
• Monitor maternal and fetal conditions, including continuous fetal monitoring
• Assess patients and promptly identify changes in maternal or fetal condition
• Assist with labor management and delivery procedures
• Provide care and monitoring for newborns, including premature infants
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions according to orders and facility protocols
• Respond appropriately to obstetric emergencies
• Collaborate with OB physicians, neonatal providers, nurses, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams
• Provide patient and family education and emotional support
• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
• Follow patient-safety, infection-control, and regulatory standards
• Participate in weekend and holiday coverage as required
