Occupational Therapist (OT)
Location: Arlington Heights, IL 60005
Job Type: Contract
Duration: 40 Weeks
Shift: Day | 7:45 AM–3:15 PM
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 5×7 Hours | 35 Hours/Week
Local Candidates: No
Traveler Candidates: Accepted – outside 50 miles
Pay Rate:
Traveler: $1,500–$1,900/week
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
Current, active Illinois Occupational Therapist license
Current CPR/BLS certification, if required
Previous OT experience in a school, rehabilitation, or therapy setting
Strong assessment, treatment planning, and documentation skills
Ability to work effectively with students, families, teachers, and multidisciplinary teams
Strong English communication skills
Responsibilities:
Evaluate students/patients to identify functional and occupational therapy needs
Develop and implement individualized therapy treatment plans
Provide therapy to improve fine motor skills, coordination, mobility, ADLs, and independence
Monitor and document progress and response to treatment
Collaborate with teachers, parents, physicians, therapists, and other team members
Recommend adaptive equipment, assistive technology, and environmental modifications
Maintain accurate therapy documentation and treatment records
Participate in education or treatment planning meetings
Educate families, caregivers, and staff on therapeutic techniques
Follow facility policies, safety procedures, and applicable professional standards
