Mammography Technician

Duration: 9 Weeks
Schedule: Day Shift – 5 × 8-hour shifts
Shift Time: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Compensation

• Travel: $2,400–$2,500 Gross Per Week, based on experience
• Local: $60–$64 per hour, based on experience

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Mammography Technician for a 9-week contract opportunity in New York, NY. The ideal candidate will have strong experience performing screening and diagnostic mammography while maintaining high standards for image quality, patient care, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine screening and diagnostic mammography examinations.
• Demonstrate competency in mammography positioning, compression, and appropriate technique factors.
• Ensure all radiographic images are accurately labeled according to departmental procedures.
• Evaluate images for technical quality and acceptability.
• Ensure completed images are transmitted to the appropriate PACS system in a timely manner.
• Accurately complete documentation and required study information in the department's imaging system.
• Maintain accurate patient tracking and examination records.
• Follow established departmental procedures, quality standards, and patient-safety protocols.
• Maintain compliance with applicable mammography regulations and quality-assurance requirements.

Requirements

• Must possess a valid New York State License in Diagnostic Radiography.
• Must be ARRT registered.
• Must meet and maintain all applicable MQSA requirements.
• Previous mammography experience required.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient care.
