JOB OVERVIEW

Location: Brooklyn, NY 11203
Job type: Contract (no benefits)

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (5 x 8 hours)

Candidates needed: Both local and traveling candidates

COMPENSATION

Traveling Candidates: $2,200 – $2,400 per week, based on experience
Local Candidates: $58 – $62 per hour, based on experience

JOB SUMMARY: This position is for an inpatient medicine/surgery unit. The social worker provides psychosocial assessment, supportive therapy and discharge planning, including making referrals.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Conduct psychosocial assessments.
Provide supportive therapy.
Complete discharge planning, including making referrals.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: One year of LMSW experience.

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: At least one year of nursing home experience as a social worker.

REQUIRED EDUCATION: Master’s degree in Social Work.

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSURE

Valid Licensed Master of Social Work (LMSW) license issued by the New York State Education Department (NYSED).
