Job Summary
The Medical Assistant supports both the front and back office, including greeting and rooming patients, scheduling, answering phones, taking vitals, drawing blood, administering vaccines, and providing additional clinical support wherever needed. Maintaining a collaborative relationship with the center’s staff is a key ingredient to success in this position.

Qualifications

Minimum of 1 year of medical assistant experience (in addition to an externship)
Phlebotomy/venipuncture experience
Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience
Attention to detail, ability to communicate effectively with patients, and strong computer skills
A desire to work in an environment where health education and outreach are important and where you can make a difference

Required Skills

Front and back office experience
Phlebotomy
BLS or CPR (candidates who do not hold either may start pending, subject to approval)

Preferred

Medical Assistant certification (strongly preferred)
