Surgical Technologist (OR Tech) – Labor & Delivery / OB
Location: Indianapolis, IN
Duration: 13 weeks
Employment Type: Contract (NO BENEFITS)
Shift: Days, 5 x 8 hours (7:00 to 15:30)

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist (OR Tech) with Labor & Delivery experience to support OB and non-OB surgical procedures. Local and traveler candidates are both accepted, including first-time travelers.

Responsibilities

• Assist with Labor & Delivery and typical OB surgical cases
• Support procedures including Cesarean sections, dilation and curettage (D&C), dilation and evacuation (D&E), tubal ligation, and cerclage
• Assist with high-risk non-OB cases, including accreta, hysterectomy, laparoscopic ectopic procedures, and cystoscopy
• Perform sterilization, scrubbing, and high-level disinfection (HLD)
• Maintain aseptic technique and ensure proper instrument handling
• Perform decontamination, crash cart management, and scope/probe reprocessing as needed

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of Surgical Technologist experience
• Labor & Delivery experience
• NBSTSA certification in hand at the time of submission
• BLS certification
• Skills in sterilization, scrub, HLD, and aseptic technique

Preferred

• Decontamination, crash cart management, and scope/probe reprocessing
