JOB TITLE: Occupational Therapist 2

JOB OVERVIEW

Location: Syracuse, NY 13210
Job type: Contract (no benefits)
Duration: 14 weeks, with potential for extension
Shift: Days
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, plus one weekend per month

Candidates needed: Both local and traveling candidates

COMPENSATION

Traveling candidates: $1,700 – $1,800 per week, based on experience
Local candidates: $35 – $38 per hour, based on experience

JOB SUMMARY: This role provides occupational therapy services in an acute care and outpatient setting. The therapist evaluates patients, sets treatment goals in consultation with healthcare professionals, patients and families, and delivers therapy as prescribed by a physician.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

• Acute care (not acute inpatient rehab).
• Outpatient care.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

• Neuro/concussion outpatient care.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Occupational Therapy.
• NYS licensure, or eligible for licensure.
• 2 years of experience.
• Must pass a pre-employment health clearance.

DUTIES

• Administer occupational therapy as prescribed by a physician.
• Determine specific treatment goals through evaluation and consultation with healthcare professionals, patients and families.
• Complete record keeping and related reports.
• Attend designated clinics, rounds and conferences and share patient information.
• Interact with patient families.
• Maintain equipment and supplies.
• May participate in educational programs for staff.
