Employment Type: Contract (No benefits)
Shift: Days, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with one weekend required each month

Pay Rate

• Traveler: $1900-2100/week
• Local: $40-45/hr

Job Summary
We are seeking a Speech Language Pathologist with acute care experience. The role involves working inpatient on weekends. Local and traveler candidates are both accepted.

Duties

• Administer evaluations and diagnose speech, language, cognition, communication, and swallowing disorders
• Establish and provide treatment programs for individuals with deficits in speech, language, cognitive, voice, and/or swallowing disorders
• Schedule patients to receive evaluations and treatments based on patient needs
• Provide education to patients, families, and staff regarding disorders of speech, language, cognition, voice, and/or swallowing
• Participate in program development for the speech therapy discipline and related service lines
• Prepare reports and communicate with referral sources and treatment agencies
• Participate in community programs

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech Pathology
• New York State licensure
• Clinical certification in Speech Pathology (or its equivalent)
• Completion of a clinical fellowship year
• Must successfully pass pre-employment health clearance

Preferred

• Acute care experience
