Duration: 10-week contract assignment, with possible extension [NO BENEFITS]
Language: Bilingual preferred

Pay Rate: $22 – $24 per hour on W2

WORK SCHEDULE

• Monday: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• Tuesday: 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Wednesday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Thursday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Friday: 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM

JOB SUMMARY: The Medical Assistant supports both the front and back office, including greeting and rooming patients, scheduling, answering phones, taking vitals, drawing blood, administering vaccines, and providing additional clinical support wherever needed. Maintaining a collaborative relationship with the center’s staff is a key ingredient to success in this position.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum of 1 year of medical assistant experience (in addition to an externship).
• Phlebotomy/venipuncture and Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience.
• Attention to detail, strong computer skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with patients.
• Interest in working in an environment where health education and outreach are important.

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Point-of-care (POC) testing.
• Scheduling.
• Rooming patients.
• Taking vitals.
• BLS or CPR.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Medical Assistant certification (strongly preferred).
