Sterile Processing Technician
Location: Columbus, OH
Duration: 13 weeks
Employment Type: Contract (NO BENEFITS)
Shift: Evenings/Nights, 5 x 8 hours (20:00 to 06:30 or 15:00 to 23:30)

Job Summary
We are seeking experienced Sterile Processing Technicians to work at a busy Level I Trauma Center. Candidates must have experience across all areas of sterile processing and have previously worked in a comparable high-volume facility.

Responsibilities

• Perform decontamination of all items, including drills, robotic surgery instruments, and scopes
• Assemble instruments across all service lines, including trauma, loaner instruments, and peel packaging
• Perform sterilization processes using Sterrad and steam sterilization systems
• Perform high-level disinfection (HLD) and scope processing
• Manage sterile storage and maintain proper inventory organization
• Provide OR liaison support and coordinate with operating room staff
• Use the CensiTrac tracking system for instrument tracking and documentation
• Float to other facilities within the organization as required

Qualifications

• Experience in all major areas of sterile processing
• Must hold one of the following certifications:
  • CBSPD (Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution)
  • CRCST (Certified Registered Central Service Technician) through HSPA, formerly IAHCSMM
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment

Preferred

• Prior experience in a busy Level I Trauma Center or a comparable high-volume healthcare facility
