Job Type: Contract (No Benefits)
Duration: 14 weeks
Shift: 4x10, 12:30 PM – 11:00 PM

Candidates Required: Both local and traveler candidates

PAY RATE

• Traveler: $2,700 – $2,900 per week, based on experience.
• Local: $58 – $62 per hour, based on experience.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

• Toshiba CT experience.

QUALIFICATIONS

• A.A.S. in Radiologic Technology or equivalent.
• NYS license/registration.
• One year of CT/MRI experience as a radiologic technologist.
• Must successfully pass pre-employment health clearance.

DUTIES

• Perform radiographic examinations under the direction of departmental radiologists.
• Greet the patient, explain the examination they are about to undergo, and position the patient.
• Set the proper exposure factors to obtain the required quality radiograph.
• Practice appropriate radiation safety and protection so patients do not undergo undue radiation exposure.
• Maintain sufficient knowledge to operate imaging equipment efficiently and effectively in order to obtain quality studies.
• Report any equipment malfunctions to the immediate supervisor.
• Process films and input information into the Radiology Information System for documentation and billing purposes.
• Use imaging equipment properly and follow department procedures and protocol as defined in the Policy and Procedure Manual.
• Provide radiologic examinations based on referring physician and radiologist needs.
