Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Telemetry Technician to monitor cardiac rhythms, identify arrhythmias, and support patient safety through continuous ECG monitoring.
Responsibilities
Perform continuous ECG and telemetry monitoring and interpret cardiac rhythms.
Identify abnormal rhythms and respond promptly to monitor alarms.
Initiate codes and record cardiac rhythms during emergencies as required.
Perform EKGs and ensure proper electrode placement.
Troubleshoot monitoring equipment and resolve technical issues.
Enter and verify orders and retrieve laboratory results.
Communicate relevant findings to charge nurses and healthcare team members.
Maintain accurate documentation and operate monitoring equipment safely.
Required Qualifications
Active Telemetry Technician certification required.
Minimum 2 years of Telemetry Technician or Monitor Technician experience.
High school diploma or GED.
Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross.
Completion of a Dysrhythmia Course.
Proficiency in ECG monitoring, cardiac rhythm interpretation, and arrhythmia recognition.
Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
