Medical Assistant

Location: Indianapolis, IN 46227
Duration: 8 Weeks (Possible Extension) / Contract [NO BENEFITS]

Pay Rate: $22.00 - $24.00/hour

Schedule

• Monday: 7:30 AM – 3:00 PM
• Tuesday: 10:30 AM – 6:30 PM
• Wednesday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Thursday: 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM
• Friday: 7:30 AM – 3:00 PM
• Unpaid Meal Break: 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM

Job Summary

The Medical Assistant will provide front- and back-office support to ensure smooth daily operations and quality patient care. Responsibilities include greeting and rooming patients, scheduling appointments, answering phone calls, taking vital signs, performing phlebotomy, administering vaccines, and providing additional clinical support as needed.

The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, communicate effectively with patients, and work collaboratively with the healthcare team. A commitment to health education and community outreach is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of Medical Assistant experience, excluding externship experience.
• Medical Assistant certification strongly preferred.
• Occupational Health experience strongly preferred.
• Experience with phlebotomy/venipuncture and Electronic Medical Records (EMR) required.
• Strong attention to detail and effective communication skills.
• Good computer skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• Interest in health education and community outreach.
