Location: Washington, DC / Alexandria, VA
Work Arrangement: Hybrid – 3 days onsite per week

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Developer to design, develop, maintain, and enhance enterprise applications supporting customer communications and service alerting platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in .NET Core, Node.js, Microsoft Azure, Power BI, Microsoft SQL Server, and NoSQL databases.

The role involves full software development lifecycle responsibilities, including application development, systems integration, testing, troubleshooting, production support, and platform modernization.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into scalable software solutions.
• Design, develop, test, and maintain applications using .NET Core and Node.js.
• Develop and maintain APIs, web services, system interfaces, and application integrations.
• Design and optimize database queries, stored procedures, and data models using SQL Server and NoSQL technologies.
• Support Microsoft Azure-based applications and cloud infrastructure.
• Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and data solutions using Power BI.
• Perform unit, integration, and system testing and resolve application defects.
• Troubleshoot production issues and optimize application performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Support application deployments, upgrades, maintenance, and modernization initiatives.
• Maintain technical documentation and collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the SDLC.
• Follow secure coding practices and participate in Agile, DevSecOps, and CI/CD processes.

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software development or application development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with .NET Core and Node.js.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure, Power BI, Microsoft SQL Server, and NoSQL databases.
• Experience developing APIs, web services, and enterprise application integrations.
• Strong knowledge of software development lifecycle, testing, debugging, and production support.
• Experience with version control tools such as Git.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with large transit systems or transportation organizations.
• Familiarity with GraphQL, OpenTripPlanner (OTP), GTFS, or GTFS-Realtime.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum, DevSecOps, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience supporting enterprise application modernization and cloud-based solutions.
