• Local Candidates: $40–$45 per hour, depending on experience
• Travel Candidates: $1,600–$1,800 per week, depending on experience

Job Description

The Telemetry Technician will provide advanced ECG monitoring and assess patient status through ECG strip analysis and arrhythmia interpretation. Responsibilities include identifying and responding to potentially life-threatening rhythm changes, initiating codes, recording cardiac rhythms during codes, performing continuous EKG monitoring, accurately interpreting cardiac rhythms and dysrhythmias, troubleshooting monitoring issues, and responding appropriately to monitor alarms.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform electrocardiograms in multiple clinical settings, ensuring proper electrode placement.
• Communicate clearly and appropriately with charge nurses, colleagues, and physicians.
• Enter and verify orders in the computer system.
• Retrieve laboratory results from the computer system and notify the charge nurse of relevant findings.
• Maintain documentation in accordance with current standards and organizational policies.
• Safely and correctly operate monitoring systems and medical equipment.

Required Education

• High school diploma or equivalent.

Required Certifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS): Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross.
• Dysrhythmia Course: Completion required.
