Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse to provide nursing care to general medical and oncology overflow patients in an acute care setting.
Required Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical nursing experience.
EPIC experience required.
Complete skills checklist.
Professional references required.
Current certification card required.
Nursys license verification required.
No employment history gaps greater than 60 days.
Responsibilities
Provide nursing care to Medical-Surgical patients, including general medical and oncology overflow patients.
Assess patient conditions and monitor for changes in clinical status.
Administer medications and treatments according to provider orders and facility protocols.
Monitor vital signs, document assessments, and report significant changes to the clinical team.
Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EPIC.
Follow infection prevention, patient safety, and facility policies.
Educate patients and families regarding care plans and treatment instructions.
Support discharge planning and continuity of care as appropriate.
