MRI Technician

Location: Lawrenceville, GA

Contract Duration: 13 Weeks

Shift: Night Shift

Schedule: Sunday–Wednesday, 8:30 PM – 7:00 AM (4 × 10-hour shifts)

Candidate Type: Travelers Only

Pay Rate: $2,200–$2,400 per week, based on experience

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced MRI Technician for a 13-week contract assignment in Lawrenceville, Georgia. The ideal candidate will have recent MRI experience, strong technical skills in operating MRI equipment, and the ability to work overnight shifts and participate in on-call coverage as required.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform MRI procedures in accordance with established protocols and safety standards.

• Operate MRI equipment and ensure the proper acquisition of diagnostic images.

• Prepare patients for MRI examinations and explain procedures as needed.

• Follow MRI safety guidelines and departmental policies.

• Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to support quality patient care.

• Maintain accurate documentation and follow established procedures.

• Participate in on-call coverage as required.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of recent MRI Technician experience.

• Hands-on experience performing MRI procedures and operating MRI equipment.

• Ability to work the scheduled overnight shift and participate in on-call rotations.

• Completion of an accredited MRI or Radiologic Technology training program.

Required Certifications

• ARRT certification in MRI.

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).

Schedule & Holiday Requirements

• Shift: 8:30 PM – 7:00 AM.

• Workdays: Sunday through Wednesday.

• On-Call: Some on-call coverage is required.

• Major Holidays: Must work 2 of the following 3 holidays:

  • Thanksgiving Day

  • Christmas Day

  • New Year's Day

• Minor Holidays: Must work 1 of the following:

  • Friday after Thanksgiving

  • Christmas Eve

  • New Year's Eve
