• Local Candidates: $49–$52/hour, depending on experience.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Medical-Surgical and Telemetry nursing for a 13-week contract assignment. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical assessment skills, cardiac monitoring experience, and the ability to provide safe, evidence-based nursing care to patients with diverse medical conditions.

Candidates must have recent specialty experience, an active Ohio or multistate compact RN license, and proficiency with the EPIC electronic medical records system.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in Medical-Surgical and Telemetry units.
• Assess patients' health conditions and develop individualized nursing care plans.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, interpret ECG patterns within the scope of practice, and recognize abnormalities requiring intervention.
• Administer medications safely and perform appropriate nursing interventions.
• Monitor patient responses to treatments and promptly report changes in clinical condition.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and progress using the EPIC electronic medical records system.
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
• Follow established hospital policies, infection control procedures, patient safety protocols, and professional nursing standards.
• Complete ECG rhythm recognition and Safe Medicate assessments during orientation and achieve acceptable scores.
• Participate in holiday scheduling as required.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum of 18 months of recent Medical-Surgical Telemetry experience.
• At least 18 months of combined permanent employment experience in the specialty for which the candidate is applying.
• Active Ohio RN license or multistate compact RN license in hand before submission.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or a facility-approved provider.
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or a facility-approved provider.
• NIH certification must be obtained before the assignment start date.
• Previous experience with the EPIC electronic medical records system is mandatory.
• One recent professional reference from a manager, Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM), supervisor, or director in the relevant specialty.
• Ability to achieve acceptable scores on ECG rhythm recognition and Safe Medicate assessments during orientation.
• Availability to work at least every other holiday.
