Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to provide respiratory care services in a busy Emergency Department in Cleveland, Ohio.

The ideal candidate will have at least two years of respiratory therapy experience, including Emergency Department experience, and possess the required Ohio licensure and professional certifications. The selected candidate will provide respiratory assessments, perform therapeutic interventions, monitor patient conditions, and collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver safe and effective patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory therapy services to patients in the Emergency Department.
• Assess patients' respiratory conditions and identify appropriate respiratory care needs.
• Perform respiratory therapy procedures and interventions within the authorized scope of practice.
• Monitor patients' respiratory status and promptly communicate significant changes to the clinical team.
• Document patient assessments, treatments, and responses accurately in medical records.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
• Follow established clinical protocols, infection-control procedures, and patient safety standards.
• Adapt to changing patient care needs in a fast-paced acute-care environment.
• Float to designated affiliated healthcare facilities as required.

Required Qualifications

• Current Ohio Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license in hand.
• Current NBRC certification and BLS certification in hand at the time of submission.
• Minimum of 2 years of professional RRT experience.
• Previous Emergency Department respiratory therapy experience.
• Willingness to work weekends as needed.
• Flexibility to float to designated affiliated facilities within the healthcare network.
• Complete employment history, including any previous assignments within the same healthcare network, must be included in the candidate profile.
• Copies of all required certifications must be submitted with the application.
• Only medical or religious exemptions are accepted for applicable requirements.

Work Environment

The selected candidate will work in an acute-care Emergency Department, providing respiratory therapy services to patients requiring timely assessment and treatment.

The role may also require floating to other designated healthcare facilities based on staffing and operational needs.
