Pay Rate

• Local Candidates: $60–$64/hour, depending on experience
• Travel Candidates: $2,400–$2,500/week, depending on experience

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Mammography Technician to perform routine screening and diagnostic mammography procedures while ensuring high-quality imaging and patient care. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in mammography positioning, breast compression, and imaging techniques.

The technician will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and quality of radiographic images, maintaining proper documentation, and completing imaging studies in accordance with departmental protocols and established standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine screening and diagnostic mammography procedures.
• Demonstrate proficiency in mammography positioning, breast compression, and appropriate technique selection.
• Ensure all radiographic images are accurately labeled according to departmental Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Evaluate images for technical quality and acceptability.
• Ensure images are transmitted to the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) promptly.
• Ensure all completed imaging studies are properly documented in the IDX system.
• Accurately record and maintain required patient tracking information in the designated tracking system.
• Follow established imaging protocols, quality assurance procedures, and departmental guidelines.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with applicable mammography standards.
• Support efficient workflow while maintaining high standards of imaging quality and patient care.

Required Qualifications

• Valid New York State License in Diagnostic Radiography.
• Current registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• Must meet and maintain all applicable Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) requirements.
• Demonstrated competency in screening and diagnostic mammography.
• Proficiency in mammography positioning, compression, and imaging techniques.
• Familiarity with PACS and IDX systems.
• Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.

Additional Requirements
