Location: Marion, IL 46953
Duration: 9+ Weeks - Contract [NO BENEFITS], with Possible Extension
Work Schedule: Monday–Friday
Shift Timings:

• Monday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• Tuesday: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
• Wednesday: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• Thursday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Friday: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Pay Rate: $22/hour

Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Medical Assistant to provide comprehensive front-office and back-office support in a healthcare setting. The ideal candidate will assist with patient intake, appointment scheduling, vital signs monitoring, phlebotomy, vaccinations, and other clinical responsibilities as needed.

The Medical Assistant will collaborate closely with healthcare providers and staff to ensure efficient daily operations, quality patient care, and a positive patient experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet patients and assist with check-in and registration procedures.
• Room patients and prepare them for examinations and clinical procedures.
• Measure and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration.
• Perform phlebotomy and venipuncture procedures.
• Administer vaccines in accordance with established clinical protocols and applicable regulations.
• Perform EKGs and point-of-care (POC) testing.
• Schedule appointments and manage incoming phone calls.
• Maintain accurate patient records and update information in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
• Provide administrative and clinical support across front-office and back-office operations.
• Assist healthcare providers with additional clinical duties as needed.
• Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare team members.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional clinical environment.
• Follow established healthcare procedures, safety protocols, and patient confidentiality requirements.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of Medical Assistant experience, excluding externship experience.
• Hands-on experience with phlebotomy and venipuncture.
• Experience using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems.
• Experience supporting both front-office and back-office operations.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in basic computer applications.
• Current BLS or CPR certification.

Preferred Qualifications

• Medical Assistant certification strongly preferred.
• Occupational Health experience strongly preferred.
