Pay Rate: $2,757 – $2,827/week
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Operating Room RN to provide safe, high-quality nursing care and support surgical procedures while maintaining a safe and aseptic environment.
Required Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
Current New York State RN license.
BLS Certification required.
OR/Operating Room nursing experience.
Strong knowledge of nursing principles, clinical equipment, and OR instrumentation.
Ability to maintain a safe and aseptic environment.
Lethal dysrhythmia interpretation skills.
Strong communication, organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Ability to respond to on-call requirements within 30 minutes.
Preferred Qualifications
ACLS Certification.
Responsibilities
Provide safe and high-quality nursing care in the Operating Room/ASU setting.
Assess patient needs and implement appropriate nursing interventions.
Maintain a safe and aseptic environment during procedures.
Safely operate and utilize clinical equipment and instrumentation.
Monitor patients and recognize lethal dysrhythmias.
Ensure safe patient movement using appropriate equipment and lifting techniques.
Prioritize and delegate nursing responsibilities appropriately.
Assume Charge Nurse duties as required.
Participate in weekend, holiday, and on-call coverage.
Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and the interdisciplinary team.
