Position Overview
We are seeking a Surgical Support Aide to prepare surgical case carts, select instruments and supplies, and ensure cases are complete and ready according to the surgical schedule.
Required Qualifications
Current CRCST certification.
Case cart preparation experience required.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling surgical instruments, trays, and supplies.
Responsibilities
Prepare case carts by selecting required instruments, trays, supplies, and materials.
Review pick lists and verify case carts for missing instruments and supplies.
Scan trays and instruments to maintain accurate tracking and inventory records.
Retrieve items from designated storage locations and maintain inventory availability.
Organize completed case carts according to surgery schedules and procedure requirements.
Coordinate with Materials Management/Supply staff when additional supplies are needed.
Follow instrument tracking, inventory, scanning, and case cart procedures.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following infection-control and surgical department policies.
Work with supervisors and surgical staff to ensure case carts are complete and ready on time.
Prioritize multiple surgical cases according to scheduled procedure times and department needs.
