Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Ultrasound Technologist to perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations, optimize image quality, and provide safe, professional patient care.
Required Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of recent Ultrasound Technologist experience.
Current ARDMS registration required.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Strong knowledge of diagnostic ultrasound procedures, scanning techniques, and equipment.
Strong computer, communication, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
Ability to work effectively with radiologists, physicians, patients, and healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities
Prepare patients for ultrasound examinations and verify patient identity and relevant medical history.
Perform ultrasound examinations and optimize scanning techniques and image quality.
Operate, clean, and perform minor maintenance on ultrasound equipment; report malfunctions as needed.
Obtain appropriate measurements and calculations according to departmental protocols and applicable guidelines.
Analyze sonographic findings and obtain comprehensive images for physician interpretation.
Recognize situations requiring immediate medical attention and notify the appropriate provider.
Record diagnostic images, data, and documentation accurately while maintaining patient confidentiality.
Communicate examination instructions and relevant information effectively with patients and healthcare staff.
Maintain adequate supplies and a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
Follow departmental policies, infection-control standards, safety procedures, and regulatory requirements.
