Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced nursing leader to oversee patient care quality, employee performance, and clinical operations across inpatient pediatric services.
Required Qualifications
Active New York RN License with Primary Source Verification through NYSED.
BLS certification.
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited nursing program.
Minimum 7 years of nursing experience.
Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience.
Experience with employee performance management, patient care oversight, and quality management.
Experience monitoring clinical performance, medication error tracking, employee counseling, and corrective-action support.
Strong leadership, communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s Degree in Nursing (MSN).
Experience in PICU, General Pediatrics, and/or NICU.
Pediatric inpatient nursing leadership experience.
Responsibilities
Monitor nursing and patient-care performance across inpatient pediatric units.
Assess unit performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
Support nurse managers and clinical leadership in maintaining patient-care standards.
Identify performance concerns and assist with appropriate corrective actions.
Maintain records related to medication errors, employee counseling, and performance management.
Develop and implement performance-improvement initiatives.
Monitor compliance with nursing standards, policies, and procedures.
Provide guidance regarding employee performance, counseling, and professional development.
Collaborate with nursing leadership and interdisciplinary teams to address patient-care concerns.
Support safe, effective, and patient-centered care within PICU, General Pediatrics, and NICU settings.
Maintain accurate and confidential documentation.
Promote accountability, quality improvement, patient safety, and regulatory compliance.
