Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced LVN/LPN to provide nursing care and clinical support in an outpatient OB/GYN setting.
Required Qualifications
Active California LVN/LPN license required at the time of submission.
Minimum 2 years of outpatient clinic experience.
Minimum 1 year of OB/GYN clinic experience.
Current BLS certification.
IV and blood withdrawal certification.
Proficiency with blood/lab draws and venipuncture.
First-time travelers accepted.
No pending license accepted.
Responsibilities
Provide nursing care to patients in an outpatient OB/GYN setting.
Perform patient assessments and monitor patient conditions.
Assist providers with gynecological examinations and outpatient procedures.
Perform blood and laboratory draws and venipuncture as required.
Initiate and maintain IV access and provide related patient care.
Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and facility protocols.
Prepare patients for examinations and procedures and provide appropriate post-procedure care.
Educate patients regarding treatments, procedures, medications, and follow-up care.
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
Monitor patients for changes in condition and promptly report concerns to providers.
Collaborate with physicians, RNs, medical assistants, and other healthcare team members.
Maintain infection-control, patient-safety, and clinical compliance standards.
Float to other OB/GYN outpatient clinics as required.
Follow facility policies and procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
