Registered Nurse – Telemetry

Location: Bricktown, NJ
Job Type: Contract
Duration: 19 Weeks
Shift: Night | 6:45 PM–7:15 AM
Schedule: 3x12 Hours | 36 Hours/Week | Every Other Weekend

Traveler Candidates: Accepted

Pay Rate:
Local: $55–$62/hr, based on experience
Traveler: $55–$62/hr, based on experience

Required Qualifications:

• Current NJ RN license or valid Multistate Compact RN license — Required
• Minimum 2 years of recent Telemetry nursing experience — Required
• ASN from an accredited school of nursing — Required
• BLS – AHA — Required
• ACLS – AHA — Required
• NIHSS certification — Required
• Telemetry certification or Telemetry Competency Exam — Required
• CEU Contact Stroke – 4 hours — Required
• Strong knowledge of cardiac rhythms and non-titratable drips
• Strong patient assessment and clinical judgment skills
• Ability to provide safe, patient-centered care in a Telemetry/Observation setting
• English proficiency — read, write, and speak

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients and develop individualized nursing care plans
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and identify changes in patient condition
• Manage patients receiving non-titratable drips
• Plan, implement, coordinate, and document nursing care
• Perform therapeutic nursing interventions based on patient needs
• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments
• Monitor patient responses to treatment and adjust nursing interventions as appropriate
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams
• Provide evidence-based, patient-centered nursing care
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Provide patient and family education and support
• Float to other inpatient Telemetry units as required
• Work every other weekend and required holidays
• Perform other nursing duties as assigned
