Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Critical Care Registered Nurse to provide care across ICU, IMCU, ED holds, and Medical-Surgical units as part of a dedicated Critical Care Float Pool.
Required Qualifications
Active New York RN license required at the time of submission.
2+ years of ICU/Critical Care nursing experience.
Travel nursing experience required.
BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications required.
NURSYS report and verification of all active RN licenses required.
Epic EMR experience preferred/required.
Willingness to float to ICU, IMCU, ED holds, and Medical-Surgical units.
Ability to manage 6–7 patients when assigned to Medical-Surgical units.
Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients across multiple hospital units.
Float to ICU, IMCU, ED holds, and Medical-Surgical units as required.
Manage complex patients with conditions including stroke, sepsis, respiratory failure, CHF, post-STEMI, cardiogenic shock, trauma, and major post-operative conditions.
Provide care for patients requiring IABP, CRRT, ventilators, ventriculostomy, ICP monitoring, and TTM.
Provide care for cardiovascular and cardiothoracic surgical patients, including CTICU cases.
Manage 6–7 patient assignments when floated to Medical-Surgical units.
Accurately document patient care using Epic EMR.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
Follow hospital policies, safety standards, infection-control procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Adapt to different units, patient populations, and clinical assignments within the Critical Care Float
