Health Aide (SPED) – Preschool to Grade 12

Shift: Day | 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 40 Hours/Week

Pay Rate:
Local: $20–$23/hr, based on experience
Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma
Associate’s degree, 60 college credits, or valid Paraprofessional certification
Current Arizona Driver’s License
Current CPR, First Aid, and BLS certification
Valid IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
Crisis Intervention Training certification or ability to obtain
Ability to pass required FBI and State background checks
ASL skills preferred when working with deaf or hard-of-hearing students
Braille skills preferred when working with blind or visually impaired students
Completion of Defensive Driver Training required for agency personnel driving on State business
Responsibilities:
Assist teachers with instructional objectives, behavioral strategies, and IEP goals
Tutor students individually and in groups in academic, social, and daily living activities
Monitor students while using equipment to help maintain safety
Observe, record, and maintain student records according to applicable policies
Assist students with lifting, toileting, feeding, and hygiene
Transport students to activities or appointments when required
Participate in training sessions and professional development
Perform other related duties as assigned
