Required Qualifications:
Speech Language Pathologist experience appropriate for the assigned healthcare setting
Active and unrestricted Speech Language Pathologist license in California
Ability to perform speech, language, cognitive, communication, and swallowing assessments
Strong clinical communication, documentation, and patient-care skills
Ability to work effectively with patients, families, physicians, nurses, and rehabilitation teams
Additional facility-specific certifications may be required
Responsibilities:
Evaluate patients for speech, language, cognitive, communication, and swallowing disorders
Perform comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
Provide speech-language therapy and therapeutic interventions
Treat patients with communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders
Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed
Educate patients and families on treatment plans and communication strategies
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, OTs, PTs, and other healthcare professionals
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
Communicate patient needs and progress with families and healthcare teams
Recommend appropriate therapeutic exercises, communication techniques, and compensatory strategies
Participate in care planning and interdisciplinary meetings
Follow facility policies, professional standards, patient safety requirements, and regulatory guidelines
Provide compassionate, professional, patient-centered care
Perform other SLP duties as assigned
